With the current pandemic, the state of the music and touring industry has dramatically changed. Where were you when everything was brought to a halt?
When everything stopped we were preparing for a summer tour and writing new music for the mowgli’s. we quickly pivoted to live-streaming almost every day and we connected with fans on a whole new level.
How has that affected your plans for the coming year? Did you have a tour planned, upcoming album release?
We were planning a US and a UK tour along with a new ep. the machine was going strong then suddenly came to a haunt. now we have a whole new band and we want to keep touring and releasing music.
What have you been doing to fill/make the most of your new-found free time at home? How are you supporting your mental health through all of this?
We have been focusing on mental health a lot. we have a couple of dogs and the newest member of the family is frosty the cat. i’ve become a cat person... we’ve been keeping up on exercise as much as possible. andy got a peloton bike and i have been playing soccer with friends twice a week. we go to malibu as much as we can. malibu is our happy place.
As things are reopening & restrictions are lifting have you booked any new gigs? Tours? Etc? If your region is still under restriction, how are dealing with the Covid third wave?
we’re still putting together our live show, but in the meantime we’re reaching out to all the venues we know for opening slots. gotta start somewhere. as far as the third wave, we’re trying to be smart about where we go and we try to avoid large crowds indoors. we keep a mask with us just in case.
Do you have a message for everyone at home reading this?
don’t be afraid to reach out for help if you need help. most of our problems are relatable and talking through them can bring us closer together.
