MUSIC INDUSTRY BLACK OUT

Wednesday June 2nd, the 1-year anniversary of #BlackOutTuesday - the viral global action to protest anti-Black racism - BDRB (Breaking Down Racial Barriers), with partners CIMA and ADVANCE, will be hosting a virtual declaration signing event for music industry leaders to make public their commitment to anti-Black racism. We urge all members of the Canadian live music industry to read, acknowledge and sign the Declaration, and attend this important event.

We mourn and observe the lives of 215 Indigenous children found on the site of a former residential school. Our thoughts are with the our indigenous communities and families.

The month of June marks the beginning of National Indigenous History Month to recognize and honour the history, traditions, heritage, cultural contributions and diversity of indigenous people.
