With the current pandemic, the state of the music and touring industry has dramatically changed. Where were you when everything was brought to a halt?

Amiskwaciwâskahikan (Beaver Mountain House) also known as Edmonton.

How has that affected your plans for the coming months? Did you have a tour planned, upcoming album release?

A lot of my interactions and paid work come from events like conferences and weddings throughout the summer and fall. Along with having various exhibits booked to which were cancelled as well. My work general involves a human-factor which as things got locked down and cancelled ceased. I've been working on a multi-year project and it's just unfortunate that the momentum of that has been thrown off for another year.

What have you been doing to fill/make the most of your new-found free time at home?

I really started to focus on producing images for a series of puzzles that are indigenous themed as well as building a network for my beadwork through social media platforms like Instagram. Fortunately beadwork can be quite involved so a lot of my time has gone into producing and learning how to make earrings!

For the puzzles a lot of it has been assembling various props like beaded earrings, pogs (yes, pogs,) and various other fun things and spending hours placing them to be photographed. I've learned a lot with this time, so as much as it's been a hinderance it's also been a gift.

What was the first thing you did/place you went to now the country is starting to slowly re-open?

I haven't left yet, but Vancouver is my fav destination. Really looking forward to seeing the Ocean again after 2 years.

Favourite Starlite Room Moment?

OH MAN, there's so many but if I had to pick it was when Decapitated played in the Brixx downstairs with Vader and Soilent Green and it was on my birthday and I got my photo taken with Decapitated. Super cool, back when I band stalked. LOLOLOL

Do you have a message for everyone at home reading this?

If we've learned anything from this is how set we are on routine and how you as an Individual can adjust with the change. The challenge should never be meet with perseverance, but with finding how to make the most of the challenge and turn it into growth. We are a society obsessed with the idea of 'busy' and I'm thankful for this time as I've got to learn a lot as an artist and got to evaluate what has been routine for me.
