With the current pandemic, the state of the music and touring industry has dramatically changed. Where were you when everything was brought to a halt?
I was in Edmonton gearing up to head to Toronto to showcase at Canadian Music Week.
How has that affected your plans for the coming months? Did you have a tour planned, upcoming album release?
I had a couple major trips planned which included a showcase in Toronto for Canadian Music Week, a month-long writing/recording trip to LA to work on a record with Warner USA and a UK tour which I would have just gotten back from.
What have you been doing to fill/make the most of your new-found free time at home?
I've taught myself to mix music, and I have been doing production for many artists both within and outside of Canada. I've also been spending a ton of time practicing guitar and songwriting!
What was the first thing you did/place you went to now the country is starting to slowly re-open?
Long & Mcquade to buy things I didn't need.
Favourite Starlite Room Moment?
Opening for Scott Helman to a sold out room.
Do you have a message for everyone at home reading this?
Try your best to see the good in this crazy time, because there are still things to be thankful for. Keep busy, learn new skills, practice and it'll all be over before you know it!
