APRIL FOOLS!

Hiya!

For my very first blog post, it would be fun to share some April Fools Day prank ideas! As we are all Social Distancing I figured this would be a really fun way to break up the monotony of being stuck inside, alone or with your loved ones! This is all meant in fun, under no circumstance do I want this post to cause any pain, suffering or illness, just a good laugh, to brighten everyones day.

I LOVE a good prank! Always have! When I was just a child, I use to hide tiny plastic spiders and mice to spook my Mum & Grandma! OOOoooooo, and there’s always the classic ‘whoopee cushion’, I mean, ha! Farts are so funny!

One year on my friend Lisa’s birthday we filled her entire car with balloons…

Hahahahahaha! Oooh Man! think about that! Her surprise!

On my friend Lena’s birthday, a group of friends and I got into her office and began wrapping everything in sight! This was the type of prank that just kept giving! You see, yea, we wrapped all the big things, like her desk, chair printer, buy we also wrapped a ton of tiny little things that weren’t used all that often, like stamps and pens! So just when she thought she got it all BOOM, fuuuuuudge, they wrapped staples!? WTF STAPLES!!!

ALTHOUGH HILARIOUS AT THE TIME, SOME PRANKS CAUSE YOU NOT TO BE BELIEVED WHEN YOU RUN INTO REAL LIFE PROBLEMS.
EXAMPLE; MY MUM DIDN’T BELIEVE ME WHEN I HAD AN EXTREME PROBLEM WITH MICE AT THE AGE OF 10… but thats another story for another time.

PRANKS WHILE ISOLATED

1. GIVE THEIR PHONE NUMBER IN A CRAIGSLIST/KIJIJI AD. My friend Trevor did this to me. It was shortly after the above Lisa & Lena pranks, so I was fairly convinced it was retribution, which I feel made it all the funnier!

2. PRANK CALL SMART PHONE APPS. Not to totally age myself, but when the Jerky Boys came out… man! Hours of fun! 1995 was a different time, most people only had home phones, although caller ID was a thing, it was a really simple code you would dial before the number to have your home number blocked. My brother, best friend and I love prank calls sooo much, that over a decade later the 3 of us continued to prank call her brothers and our other friends, these pranks were so funny, I only wish we recorded everyones reactions! Now a days its super fun, funny and simple to download a prank call app! You can chose from hundreds of scenarios, all the better, they block your number and record the call! Search ‘Prank Call App’ in Google Play or your AppStore!

3. SWAP SHORTCUTS IN iOS DICTIONARY. This one will one day be as classic as the ‘whoopee cushion’! As an iPhone user, I only know how to do this on iPhones, but I think it would be pretty easy to do on any other Smart Phone. Simply grab you husbands phone, or anyone else’s, for me this prank is super funny on Tyson. Go to ‘settings’, then ‘general’, then ‘keyboard’… about half way down the screen it says “.”Shortcut and shaboom! Hilarious!
   
   Another Smart Phone prank I played on Tys, is I once deleted our text history and changed my name to ‘GOD’ , so like everything I texted him was a direct message from God! Hahaha.

4. SWITCH OUT FAMILY PHOTOS. This one is super funny, and super straight forward! Change out your family photos, the ones hanging in the stairway, on the mantel etc. Swap ‘em out for the that lovely family in the Sears catalogue, dictators, haha, anything, sit back and wait and see how long it takes your kids to notice that Ivanka Trump has replaced them!

5. FUALTY FAUCET. Stick some duct-tape on the faucet/nozzle of your kitchen sink, leave a gap in the front. The household member who uses the sink next will get a surprise straight in the face/chest! Be sure to pull this prank while your family or roommates are in the home. This way you are not interrupting the critical hand washing that needs to happen once home from running errands.
