How has that affected your plans for the coming year? Did you have a tour planned, upcoming album release?

What's majorly been affected is there are fewer/no opportunities for pop-up shops, where previously I was able to sell shirts, colouring books, magnets, stickers etc. I've been selling online now, which isn't terrible, but people are more likely to fall in love with an item when they buy it in person. Plus I don't get to enjoy as many interactions with people who are buying my stuff. I always enjoyed the conversations because sometimes they are fellow artists, collectors and so forth, and there's often a moment of social bonding that's more meaningful than taking people's money online. But it's kicked me in the butt to learn more about selling and promoting content online, which I mostly avoided until recently.

What have you been doing to fill/make the most of your new-found free time at home? How are you supporting your mental health through all of this?

Still just working on stuff at home as normal. It's always a solitary introverted experience, so if anything I've been making and learning more because there's nothing else to do. Though I do miss getting to sit down and work in coffee shops and pubs.

How are dealing with the Covid second wave?

It's more or less the same, as I'm still working at my job at the library. Just not seeing friends anymore is weird.

Favourite Starlite Room Moment?

Performed drag at a Pure Pride gig once, unpaid and zero drink tickets (not the venue's fault) but it was all worth it to perform on that elevated stage. Also saw the Japandroids a few years ago and that was a great show.

Do you have a message for everyone at home reading this?

Do what you can to be creative as a means to pull through this dry spell of life. And take a moment to reflect and acknowledge how you're likely already being creative, and let that enrich the experience of the day to day. A lot of people claim they're not the creative types but do all kinds of things that are creative, like cooking or decorating a room or folding laundry in a unique way. Just simply recognizing that work goes a long way in making moments count, and can inspire to take the practice further.
