With the current pandemic, the state of the music and touring industry has dramatically changed. Where were you when everything was brought to a halt?
We can't remember exactly where we were, but we do remember that we were jamming when we found out about the news.
How has that affected your plans for the coming year? Did you have a tour planned, upcoming album release?
We had some really cool shows lined up, with some bands and venues we have never played with/at before. We also recorded our debut album just prior in January. We planned to have everything finalized and released in the summer. Sadly, the pandemic caused us to push that forward by a year and all our plans for touring also were dropped because of this.
What have you been doing to fill/make the most of your new-found free time at home? How are you supporting your mental health through all of this?
We have been trying to practice more and work on tunes but that has seemed difficult at times, especially since we can't jam together as a band. Luckily we all have day jobs and haven't stopped working since all this happened, so the majority of the day is filled by that, which helps us fill time and keep our mental health in check. With the free time we have we try to spend time with family where possible and listening to music.
How are dealing with the Covid second wave?
Same as the first, just a little more prepared this time for knowing what to expect from people ,government, etc.
Favourite Starlite Room Moment?
We aren't too familiar with Starlite Room, but all the bands we have seen on the bills all sound great and we hope to have a favourite moment in the near future!
Do you have a message for everyone at home reading this?
Keep strong, support music, stay close to friends and family, we can all get through this together!!
