With the current pandemic, the state of the music and touring industry has dramatically changed. Where were you when everything was brought to a halt?

Skepsis was putting the finishing touches on the new tracks for our upcoming EP. However when the pandemic hit, our plans were put on the back burner. With various members out of a job, the future was looking pretty uncertain. Thankfully, the worst case scenario seems to have been avoided and we're somewhat back on track.

How has that affected your plans for the coming months? Did you have a tour planned, upcoming album release?

Of course, the pandemic pretty much put a halt to any hope of performing this year. However it has allowed us to redirect our efforts toward the future and ensure that we have some really great, quality music in the pipeline for 2021!

What have you been doing to fill/make the most of your new-found free time at home?

The band has directed our efforts towards finishing our next EP as well as looking at writing new material, and developing future plans. Ideally, this kind of forced downtime will allow us to concentrate on producing a quality product that people will enjoy.

What was the first thing you did/place you went to now the country is starting to slowly re-open?

Well, actually I don't think any one has really left the city yet. But I'll (John) be visiting British Columbia later in the month for a quick getaway. I think everyone has been coup'd up so long now that people are eager to get out... Safely mind you!

Favourite Starlite Room Moment?

This is a genuinely difficult question. I think the top moment would have to be the time Rockin' Rod finished introducing The Order of Chaos and decided to stage dive into the crowd, who parted rather quickly and let him take a big hit on the ground.

Do you have a message for everyone at home reading this?

The music industry is going through an unprecedented and uncertain time at the moment, but one thing is certain. The destruction of the industry as it was will hurt many people and their livelihoods, but destruction also breeds creation. The strong will survive and I believe that on the other end of this, we'll see a better day for everyone involved.
