With the current pandemic, the state of the music and touring industry has dramatically changed. Where were you when everything was brought to a halt?
I was in Saskatoon about to attend the Junos.
How has that affected your plans for the coming months? Did you have a tour planned, upcoming album release?
I had a Western Canadian tour booked, some festivals and lots of other gigs with the other bands I play in.
What have you been doing to fill/make the most of your new-found free time at home?
I've writing songs, narrowly evading the abyss of despair and mountain biking with my dad! I've also started a small gardening business so I've been relatively busy with that.
What was the first thing you did/place you went to now the country is starting to slowly re-open?
I went out for pho!
Favourite Starlite Room Moment?
Watching Donovan Woods and the Bros. Landreth Brothers!
Do you have a message for everyone at home reading this?
I know it feels like we are living in a dystopian hellscape but every creative act counts, every act of kindness counts and every act in the battle against inequality and injustice counts. Be kind to yourself, rest, be kind to others and do what you can do, when you can do it, within your sphere of influence.
