With the current pandemic, the state of the music and touring industry has dramatically changed. Where were you when everything was brought to a halt?

Sheldon (my brother) was tour manager/opening act for Randy from the Trailer Park Boys and came home from a string of dates. I (Jason) was in Spain studying bass while my wife was in a University Study Abroad semester and we had to hightail it back to Canada. Jon May and Aaron Young were in Calgary and had to stock up on toilet paper for the rest of us while we were in transit. Still have some if anyone needs any.

How has that affected your plans for the coming months? Did you have a tour planned, upcoming album release?

We all had tours, album releases, video releases, new projects and festival dates that all mysteriously disappeared.

What have you been doing to fill/make the most of your new-found free time at home?

I think each one of use found some long lost valuable time with family, a chance to set up our music studios, do some creative individual projects & practice and tend to a honey-do list around the house that was at least 2 decades long. OH, and Jon May moved to BC. We're happy for him but that was, and is still a sad day.

What was the first thing you did/place you went to now the country is starting to slowly re-open?

There have been some 'side-guy' gigs here and there singing or playing in plastic shower booths on a few stages around town but a reluctant audience makes for reluctant musicians. The outdoor concerts have been fun and needed.

Do you have a message for everyone at home reading this?

(Jason speaking here) I personally had a dream that I was in an old prison with Tommy Banks. He took me to the top of a tower where there was a recording studio. As the gear started up I asked Tommy, "Hey Tommy, what are we doing?" He looked at me and said, "Even in here we need to stay sharp." ... I think it's important to take his advise.
