With the current pandemic, the state of the music and touring industry has dramatically changed. Where were you when everything was brought to a halt?

We were on the road doing a mini Alberta tour on the weekend that everything came to a halt. We had our days booked with recording sessions at Allen Christie’s studio in Caroline, Alberta and nights booked playing shows in nearby towns - Sylvan Lake, Rocky Mountain House and Calgary. Our last show was at the Ship and Anchor in Calgary on Saturday March 14.

How has that affected your plans for the coming months? Did you have a tour planned, upcoming album release?

(Both members of Brigadiers had a solid year booked with tours, festivals and upcoming album releases with side projects.)

Brigadiers planned on continuing work with Allen Christie towards a full length album and doing weekend tours throughout Alberta to promote its release scheduled for fall 2020.

In June 2020 we went ahead with releasing two of the tracks we had finished with Allen and have since been lucky enough to play a couple of local shows including a Starlite Session with Jake Ian on June 6.

What have you been doing to fill/make the most of your new-found free time at home?

We made a video for our song “Saying Tomorrow” and have been writing and jamming regularly. We have also recently welcomed a third member to Brigadiers!

What was the first thing you did/place you went to now the country is starting to slowly re-open?

River City Revival patio was my first stop. Then Buckingham and Empress.

Favourite Starlite Room Moment?

Colter Wall was pretty sweet. And opening for Chris Shiflett in Temple.
