With the current pandemic, the state of the music and touring industry has dramatically changed. Where were you when everything was brought to a halt?

I was recording my EP at Studio Sophronik with producer Simon Walls. We managed to finish it right on time though and had more time for the mixing part.

How has that affected your plans for the coming year? Did you have a tour planned, upcoming album release?

I had couple shows booked at festivals in Nunavik from March until August but we had to cancel everything. Fortunately, we took the time to finish my first EP and bring it exactly where I wanted to. I just released it on September 18th and had great success with it!

What have you been doing to fill/make the most of your new-found free time at home? How are you supporting your mental health through all of this?

I'm mostly getting ready for my full length album coming later this year. I could really take the time to dive deeper in my songwriting and find a way to blend Inuit traditions to a more modern folk and pop style.

How are dealing with the Covid second wave?

So far I'm still writing new songs for my full length album, trying to write as many song as I can to have a better selection at the end. I also help my wife with her business Tanya Innaarulik Designs. That occupies most of my time.

Do you have a message for everyone at home reading this?

I hope everyone is staying safe at home, keep it positive, have the time to listen to new music, different genres and get quality time with their family.
