Live Streaming at 7pm on Wednesday, March 25th on:
https://www.facebook.com/StarliteSessions/

Stream video will be posted within a day or two on all our Social Networks.

Sticks & Stone are a Canadian percussion trio centred on a marimba-band concept. Sticks and Stone will bring you on a fun journey, taking you through a little of *every* style of music via the marimba (also known as the “grand piano of xylophones”) and other percussion instruments. Sticks and Stone finds inspiration from the percussion ensembles and solo material of university settings, from folk marimba-band traditions of Latin America and Africa, and also from bands and ensembles of every style, incorporating its own “jam” element. Expect to hear music you recognize on an instrument you don’t... and also to be challenged with the unfamiliar!

The live entertainment industry spreads the joy and happiness that so many of us thrive on and look forward to, and we are an extremely passionate group of people. The reality of the present situation that we face, the arts and culture community whether it be an entry level position to those at the very top, we are about to take a hit beyond all expectation. There is no information to project for the foreseeable future, we can only monitor daily changes and react accordingly.

We would love to continue bringing you awesome live performances across the internet and into your homes! Donations will help Starlite Sessions to continue building a digital venue at this time of global distancing. We are currently asking for donations. The current economic devastation that has hit the Arts & Culture Community is absolutely earth shattering for venue owners like ourselves, as well as for musicians and fans alike. If venues like The Starlite Room do not receive economic relief, venues like ours will close our doors permanently and there will no longer be infrastructure for musicians to continue to hone their craft.

“If we lose our concert industry, we lose the heart and soul of who we are as a country.”
