THE HONEY BUTTER BOURBON OLD FASHIONED
INGREDIENTS
60ml Butter Fat-Washed Jim Beam Bourbon
10ml Honey Syrup
2 Dashes Chocolate Bitters
DIRECTIONS
Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice and stir the prerequisite 40 times.
Strain into a highball glass with a large ice cube.
Now enjoy the almost salted caramel popcorn-y goodness in liquid form.

FAT - WASHING is a way of infusing new flavours into that boring old booze. Bacon is a usual suspect here, but we decided to go with good old fashioned butter. I suppose you could go with a nice olive oil or a coconut oil if you wanted to keep it more vegan friendly. The same process applies.
DIRECTIONS Melt butter in a pan over medium heat until melted, and most of the liquid has evaporated. You'll now have a nice brown butter sauce. Let cool, and strain into your booze. Freeze overnight. All the fat will have floated to the surface and solidified into a fatty disc. Remove top fat layer and strain through cheesecloth to remove any remaining milk solids.
Boom, you done fat washed some hooch.
