A long lost literal barrel of vintage clothes arrived in our backyard.
Some gems, some crazy.
All '70s.
Working at a steakhouse for a time I've made my share of those old dusty drinks from Mulligan's Bar Guide...none more overblown than the vodka and orange with a bit of Galliano.
The Harvey Wallbanger!
INGREDIENTS
4oz Orange Juice (Tang if you have it, for authenticity)
1 1/2oz Vodka
1/2 Galliano
Garnish with an orange slice and maraschino cherry!
DIRECTIONS
Pour orange juice and vodka in a tall glass with ice.
Float Galliano on top by pouring over the back of a bar spoon.
Boom. Disco. Shag. Jumpsuits.
Those strange parties your parents had in the "rumpus room".
A simpler time!
In actuality, not a bad libation...Galliano adds a nice vanilla sweetness to that old screwdriver.
Bottom's up and chuck yer keys in the bowl.
