EPISODE 16 - Building off the conversation with David last week, I’m happy to have had another double-feature conversation this week with both David and Zach. For anyone who doesn’t know, Zach is the front-person in The Northbloods and David is the drummer. I didn’t say that Zach was the singer/guitarist of the band because everyone in the band does that! One of the strengths of The Northbloods, in my opinion, is the fact that they all play and sing, which adds a richness to their live show: everything you hear on their albums, they do IRL!
We discuss Zach’s background and musical journey, inspiration, collaboration, and how a long trip to New Zealand inspired the band’s latest record, “Red Mountain”.
