It is customary for drag performers to use Top 40 and popular music as a base in their acts. The music is parodied through the art form and is typically pantomimed with lip synced vocal accompaniment and extravagant visual effects such as costuming and makeup. It is a commentary and symbolic of the Pride movement that the LGBTQ2S+ community will be live loud and proud.
