With the current pandemic, the state of the music and touring industry has dramatically changed. Where were you when everything was brought to a halt?

We were in the midst taking big steps with the band when the pandemic hit. We had shows booked around Toronto's GTA and plans for new music, but with lock downs just beginning to set into effect, we had to let everything take the back seat. Especially at that time when Covid was brand new to the world and everyone was so unsure, we felt hopeful to sit back for a bit. Little did we realize what a dramatic change it would be taking on the music scene.

How has that affected your plans for the coming year? Did you have a tour planned, upcoming album release?

We honestly didn't allow this to affect our plans. The pandemic was a huge factor in inspiring this no-holds- barred attitude where we figured this could be a great time to put all our effort into focusing on writing and recording new music and not allowing things to hold us back. We had one song written, "Uplifting", and wrote the rest throughout the year we spent recording our new EP, (ep)iphany. Before restrictions allowed for studios to reopen, a lot of our process happened through at home demos and constantly sending ideas back and forth online.

What have you been doing to fill/make the most of your new-found free time at home? How are you supporting your mental health through all of this?

Being regimented, goal focused. We were able to work throughout this year as essential workers as well, which was truly nice to be able to get out of the house, but in personal time we really dedicated it to creativity. Getting outdoors I found also really helped as an outlet to support mental health. Finding a new interest in podcasts and getting out for a hike, it was a real game changer in helping disconnect. Even now with public health restrictions easing up, this is an activity ill still carry out to help manage my mental health.

As things are reopening & restrictions are lifting have you booked any new gigs? Tours? Etc? If your region is still under restriction, how are dealing with the Covid third wave?

We do! Our first show back to the stage will be January 29th at Toronto's legendary Sneaky Dees! This will be our EP release show since we couldn't have a proper release when we dropped the music back in September. For the most part Toronto local music seems like its making its come back and getting back to normal, so we are very excited!

Favourite Starlite Room Moment?

Favourite moment is being featured on Starlite Room's artist of the day! You guys rock!

Do you have a message for everyone at home reading this?

Get out to a show, doesn't need to be our show.. although we want to see you all there! But really, there are such incredibly talented musicians and artists out there close to home. We could all use the support and support each other in bringing this community back stronger than before. So get out there and support some local creativity!
