With the current pandemic, the state of the music and touring industry has dramatically changed. Where were you when everything was brought to a halt?

I was in Guatemala on a two week missions trip when everything began to shut down. When we left Toronto, people were only talking about shutting things down, but by the time we got back everyone was wearing masks and Guatemala was in the process of closing their borders. I am so grateful we were able to make it home and safely back to Canada!

How has that affected your plans for the coming year? Did you have a tour planned, upcoming album release?

2020 was a year of many canceled plans - shows, a radio tour, and tv appearances as well. It was disappointing to say the least, but luckily I was able to spend a lot of time writing and recording. As things are beginning to open back up, I am planning on booking more shows, and releasing my very first EP album in the spring! I will definitely be looking forward to sharing that with my fans, and showing them what I have been working on!

What have you been doing to fill/make the most of your new-found free time at home? How are you supporting your mental health through all of this?

I was lucky enough to spend most of my 2020 with my friends and family, hanging out with them and enjoying some rest and relaxation. I don't get to do much of that when I am on the road all the time playing shows. So it was a nice change of pace! Being able to recharge and surround myself with the people that I love was my way of supporting my mental health through the pandemic. It is easy to forget to slow down sometimes, and although the pandemic was unnerving at times I am grateful that I got to spend some quality time with my friends and family!! It was a blessing in disguise!

How are dealing with the Covid second wave?

I am trying to write as much as possible, practice guitar, and spend more time recording in the studio as well! All of these things combined have kept me very occupied, so that has been a nice distraction! I also just released my brand new single "Getaway", and have been trying to promote that as well! I haven't been having much trouble at all staying busy during the second wave!

Do you have a message for everyone at home reading this?

I would just love to say thank you so much for continuing to support my music career throughout all of this, and I can't wait to see everyone in person again when this is all over!! Love you guys and stay safe xo
