With the current pandemic, the state of the music and touring industry has dramatically changed. Where were you when everything was brought to a halt?
I was at home when everything shut down, it was pretty rapid when it happened even though I had been sensing it coming for awhile.
How has that affected your plans for the coming year? Did you have a tour planned, upcoming album release?
Being home this last year has allowed me to focus on songwriting. Catbells was born out of the pandemic. Sitting in my room with my guitar in my hands led to these songs and music.
What have you been doing to fill/make the most of your new-found free time at home? How are you supporting your mental health through all of this?
Being outside for me is very important to my mental health, I can easily say I feel a whole lot better with dirt under my feet and sun on my face. Lying in the grass, walking in the woods, and working in my garden has been vital for me to stay sane this year. Luckily writing is very cathartic and helps me process a lot of thoughts in my head too.
How are dealing with the Covid third wave?
Where I live I feel lucky that many people have taken the risk of Covid seriously, between quarantining, wearing masks, and getting vaccinated it feels like things have finally gotten a bit better here. I know it's not over, and I know more needs to be studied and what will happen come Fall is an unknown, but right now at least it seems we can see some light at the end of the long tunnel.

I am new to Starlite Room but have been looking at and reading your featured artists and I love this series <3
