With the current pandemic, the state of the music and touring industry has dramatically changed. Where were you when everything was brought to a halt?
We JUST GOT THE BALL ROLLING, we had released a 3 song EP with lyric videos. We were in the studio recording new singles and we had just opened up for BONDS OF MARA (Former members of Hail the Villain, Sons of Butcher, Default, My Darkest Days). Things were going quite well and everything fell to a dramatic stop.
How has that affected your plans for the coming year? Did you have a tour planned, upcoming album release?
We were planning a Western Canadian Tour.
What have you been doing to fill/make the most of your new-found free time at home? How are you supporting your mental health through all of this?
We went back to the studio and recorded a full length album. We released a few more singles and have been nominated for an YYC Award. We have played a few shows where possible. To be honest my (Michael) mental health has been a concern throughout all of this. It hasn't been fun.
As things are reopening & restrictions are lifting have you booked any new gigs? Tours? Etc? If your region is still under restriction, how are dealing with the Covid third wave?
We have been booking more shows, but that has proven to be challenging as well. We still aren't a recognized act within the community and lots of venues have already booked more know artists in the area. It's been tough.
