With the current pandemic, the state of the music and touring industry has dramatically changed. Where were you when everything was brought to a halt?

We were on tour in BC, on our way to Alberta. As we crossed the border, they shut it down. We toured up through Calgary, Edmonton, Fort McMurray, and then headed for home. It seemed as if every place we left, shut down as we were leaving. When hit home in the Yukon, it was like an apocalypse had happened. Everything was shut down, and all borders closed.

How has that affected your plans for the coming months? Did you have a tour planned, upcoming album release?

We had about 3 solid months of touring planned for 2020 and as with everyone, that vanished. It was an awful feeling watching all of that disappear but there's a pretty awesome silver lining for us. We're rarely in one place long enough to write/record and Covid has forced that on us. We converted our rehearsal garage into a fully functioning studio. We had planned to record in Denmark, Montreal, Florida, and the Yukon to create an international album of sorts. With that on hold, we teamed up with our producer Jan DeVroede who is stuck in Belgium at the moment. We record in our garage studio, bounce the tracks to him, he takes the tracks, does what he can at home, then sends them to his studio in Denmark. He live streams with them to make some tweaks here and there if needed/wanted (reamping, adding some different sounds etc) and then it comes back to us for the final go-ahead. So far we've released 2 songs, with another 5-6 coming up.

What have you been doing to fill/make the most of your new-found free time at home?

Aside from writing and recording as much as possible, Graeme and I (Jody) are both school teachers, so I'm running rock band program at a local school, Graeme is an EA at the elementary school we both went to, and runs an after school rock program. Eric is carpenter and spend his free time restoring old trucks. Greg is a financial planner for RBC, and is big into old school photography (dark room and the whole bit) as well as all things music. We're keeping busy but as will all bands right now, the drive to get back on the road, and playing live rock n roll is strong!

What was the first thing you did/place you went to now the country is starting to slowly re-open?

We've had very few covid cases in the Yukon. We're pretty fortunate that we've been able to stay mostly open the whole time. Live music has started up again, and we can see our friends/family. Because of this, we're not going anywhere until the rest of country settles down. I'd say come visit, but don't! Wait until we've all got a hold on this pandemic, then come to the Yukon! We'll have you over for a bbq!
