With the current pandemic, the state of the music and touring industry has dramatically changed. Where were you when everything was brought to a halt?
We, luckily, had just played a local show at the beginning of March, right when everything was beginning. The following weekend, things started getting shut down, so the timing for us was good in that regard. That being said, we did have a couple dates in the spring that have had to be cancelled or rescheduled, which is very unfortunate.
How has that affected your plans for the coming months? Did you have a tour planned, upcoming album release?
We are on the finishing stages of our record, that we were hoping to have released in late spring. That whole plan to release has been put on hold indefinitely and we are currently trying to decide if we need to make some alternative plans for release, rather than the traditional "throw a party method".
What have you been doing to fill/make the most of your new-found free time at home?
We, as individuals, have all been affected differently. Some of us have more "new free time" than others, as our respective work lives are drastically different. But we're all keeping busy, one way or another. Home reno's, personal projects, video games, Netflix, reading and cooking among other things.
Favourite quarantine meal?
Barbeque! Nothing passes the time like watching fire and meat for several hours.
Favourite Starlite Room Moment?
Too many to count, but as a band, it was when we played the Halloween Bands as Bands show in 2018. We played tribute to Amon Amarth (our biggest influence), and we hired a crew of Viking reenactors to add to the show. That was one of the most fun shows we've played, period.
Do you have a message for everyone at home reading this?
Hang tight through all of the craziness! It may last a while, but it won't last forever. Make sure when things begin to open up again to support local art, local business and everyone who has been hit the hardest by this pandemic.
