With the current pandemic, the state of the music and touring industry has dramatically changed. Where were you when everything was brought to a halt?
We were recording some cover songs, so with the quarantine, we started to think of our original songs and to dedicate time to experiment and find our own style, the one that we think represents us now. And in some way, our sound could be like an emotional portrait of this new era, so related to this particular moment in history.
How has that affected your plans for the coming year? Did you have a tour planned, upcoming album release?
Since we started with the pandemic, we were not thinking about touring. But somehow, this situation helped us to focus on short-term goals such as releasing more original singles with the great help of our PR Eric Alper and our first sponsor Hardcore Devs. There's some attractive idea in this concept of the "virtual artist behind a screen" that releases a cool song from his livingroom-studio full of synthesizers, but, at the same time, we can ́t deny that we feel so excited about playing these songs live and meeting our audience face to face.
What have you been doing to fill/make the most of your new-found free time at home? How are you supporting your mental health through all of this?
We feel our free time as an opportunity to grow as artists. We are the kind of persons who never get bored. Since the beginning of humanity, art has been a way of taking advantage of leisure time to contemplate the world and produce art pieces. So, in order to stay mentally healthy, we fill the empty spaces in time absorbing and producing as much art as we can.
How are dealing with the Covid second wave?
Here in Argentina, the line between the first and the second wave is a little blurred. There's a general sensation of being fed up with the quarantine and people are always living on the edge between what is safe and what is not. It is not so easy to find a great solution in a country with decades of huge economic problems and hundreds of thousands of people losing their jobs. We try to stay safe, to be as careful as we can, and to take care of the ones we love. Nevertheless, in this weird and difficult situation, we are grateful for meeting awesome people like Oscar Zuñiga who is helping us a lot to make this beautiful project bigger.
