With the current pandemic, the state of the music and touring industry has dramatically changed. Where were you when everything was brought to a halt?
When the Pandemic started I was playing Aufidius in Coriolanus at the Sheffield Crucible, Directed by Rob Hastie. It was one of the most amazing theatrical experiences i'd had and it was cut short with the emergence of the lockdown rules. I abruptly left Sheffield and went home to London to continue with my music, so In a strange way the pandemic allowed me more time for music creation and release plans.
How has that affected your plans for the coming year? Did you have a tour planned, upcoming album release?
This allowed me more time to arrange my music releases for the year and more time to build my platform and music brand. So again it allowed for me to take time to enhance the releases I had planned and of course work on more music.
What have you been doing to fill/make the most of your new-found free time at home? How are you supporting your mental health through all of this?
I have been releasing some singles, and making a lot of music. This was deeply therapeutic, I am at peace most when creating.
As things are reopening & restrictions are lifting have you booked any new gigs? Tours? Etc? If your region is still under restriction, how are dealing with the Covid third wave?
I am rehearsing with my newly formed band to be ready for gigs when things open up fully, but things aren't fully opened up here yet.
Favourite Starlite Room Moment?
I am very new to Starlite as a platform to be honest as I am from London, I was introduced to it through a new friend. I have to say I have been overwhelmed with how awesome the platform is. From the Artist of the day to the Vynil unveil to the spotlight sessions. I really couldn't choose a moment I am just looking forward to being a frequent visitor of the Starlite platform.
Do you have a message for everyone at home reading this?
I guess the main message I have to readers would be, to please do whatever makes your heart sing! I think if we have learnt anything from these times, is life can be incredibly unpredictable. SO spending time with those you love is important and doing the things you enjoy the most and fill your heart with joy, matters. If you happen to be listening to my music as you do these things you love, that would be splendid.
