With the current pandemic, the state of the music and touring industry has dramatically changed. Where were you when everything was brought to a halt?

I had just relocated to Los Angeles from France, and released my debut album "Restart".

How has that affected your plans for the coming year? Did you have a tour planned, upcoming album release?

Yes, my promotional efforts are best spent on the road, rather than competing in the digital world, where everyone from Jane Doe to Beyonce is vying for attention. You'll go broke fast buying ads. My fans who show continued support have all seen or heard me in the real world.

What have you been doing to fill/make the most of your new-found free time at home? How are you supporting your mental health through all of this?

I began working on my sophomore album, read books I never got around to reading, learned new meals to cook, watched plenty of movies, bought some plants to take care of, went on long walks, listened to podcasts, and completed a few 3k piece puzzles. None of what we just collectively went through felt like "free time." My accomplishments during the crisis began as avoidance behavior. I was adamant about staying updated with what virologists, epidemiologists, and those on the frontlines were saying, but understood that avoiding the news and social media was best for my mental health.

How are dealing with the Covid third wave?

All of my efforts to mitigate the contraction of COVID-19 are habitual at this point. In the beginning stages of the virus, this all seemed like an engineered loss of social cohesion. Politics and bureaucracy is not science, I could not understand how they became so intertwined. Most people I know are now fully vaccinated and I have been easing into a social life with them, all while navigating through the trip wires of conversation. I am focusing on what we have now, and not what we have lost. I was certainly someone different before the pandemic, I became someone else during it, and now I'm a blend of the two. Let's just say I am now optimistically cautious.

Favourite Starlite Room Moment?

My favorite Starlite Room moment is, without doubt, being selected as their Artist Of The Day. It's an honor to receive that kind of love, thank you.

Do you have a message for everyone at home reading this?

Listen to my album "Restart". I created it with my best friends in my garage, here in Los Angeles, and in the south of France. Cool people doing cool shit. It isn't a predictable album, it is eclectic and has an alternative, pop-rock vibe that will hold ground with a lot of signed major artists out there. I am even more excited about the songs I am writing for my sophomore album. I have no labels pulling my strings, so I am free to evolve as I wish, and that is fun.
