With the current pandemic, the state of the music and touring industry has dramatically changed. Where were you when everything was brought to a halt?
I was in London England where I had been living for the past year and a half. I remember I was in a pub with a friend when we found out they were shutting everything down the next day. Thankfully those beers helped us take in the news!
How has that affected your plans for the coming year? Did you have a tour planned, upcoming album release?
I definitely had to cancel a couple shows. I had moved to London in 2019 to pursue music and the Pandemic started during the last few months I had left in the country so it was unfortunate that I had to cancel my last shows in England. I even had my first festival booked, it was called The Great Escape which is a popular music festival in Brighton and it had to be cancelled. On the bright side though, I did manage to record a few songs before coming back to Canada, including my new single Drowning!
What have you been doing to fill/make the most of your new-found free time at home? How are you supporting your mental health through all of this?
I have been spending a lot of time writing music lately and working on a new EP. I feel quite lucky because music has always been my way to escape and pass the time so I actually enjoyed having more free time, it allowed me to write more songs! I am also surrounded by great people in my life which helps a lot with mental health.
As things are reopening & restrictions are lifting have you booked any new gigs? Tours? Etc? If your region is still under restriction, how are dealing with the Covid third wave?
I am so excited because they are starting to lift restrictions where I live and shows are slowly starting again! I definitely plan on booking some shows soon, once I finish my EP! Not playing shows has been one of the hardest things for me during the pandemic so I can't wait to get back on stage.

Do you have a message for everyone at home reading this?
If you have a dream, follow it! I followed my dream of making music and moved to London on my own and it's the best thing I have ever done! And also, thanks for reading:)
